WHO ARE WE MY 12 STEP STORE is a recovery gift and book store, located in West Hollywood, that specialize in recovery-related merchandise, such as medallions, books and cards, for all 12-Step programs. We also sell our very own signature “My 12 Step Store” speaker water and recovery mints. Whether it be addiction to alcohol, narcotics, love, food, or co-dependency, we have something just for you and for those you love. HISTORY In 2003, our founder and Director of Marketing and Outreach, RJ Holguin, opened MY 12 STEP STORE in Hollywood. At the time, LA did not have a recovery-themed gift and book store and it soon became a staple for many people in the recovery community. Shortly after opening its doors, we launched our online store so that people in all various 12-step programs could send gifts, along with a personal message. Shortly thereafter, we opened in the location we are at today. Ten years later, we remain one of the top recovery gift stores in the world and are a leader in the recovery community. Our signature “We Are Not Alone” sign stays lit 24 hours a day to give hope to those who are currently suffering. HOW WE GIVE BACK MY 12 STEP STORE is constantly giving back to the recovery community and we value those who support us tremendously. We donate proceeds to local rehabs and organizations, such as AALA, CMLA and Hot ‘n Dry. We also work with sponsors such as Reel Recovery and give scholarships to people in the program who are in need. Additionally, we hold parties and events, such as book signings, whenever possible to increase involvement with the community. We honor such things as National Drug Awareness month and have our own MY 12 STEP STORE speaker water, honoring service. Our large social following on Facebook and Twitter is due in part to our daily inspirational posts and updates. We love this, as it gives us an opportunity to interact with our customers and fans, who we are incredibly grateful for.
