In 2012, Myth & Symbol opened its door in the Rice Village, one of Houston's oldest shopping districts. At the time, Houston didn’t have many independent shops that favored emerging designers & artists who prized craftsmanship over mass-market production. We hoped to help fill that void but to also create a community so over the past five years, we also hosted workshops, exhibitions, charity events & collaborated with other shops, designers & local businesses. In 2017, we closed our brick & mortar store & moved online. Though we no longer have a physical presence, our vision & mission has stayed the same: to bring expertly crafted works of style and beauty — especially from independent & responsible sources — into our patrons' lives. Our wide lifestyle selection includes clothing, handmade jewelry, accessories, home-ware, prints, books and magazines.
