The Napleton Automotive Group is a family-owned network of automotive dealerships with roots dating to 1931, when founder Edward W. Napleton opened a small shop on Chicago’s South Side with a $700 loan. The early business was built on courteous service and hard work, expanding from a DeSoto franchise to Plymouth and multiple Chrysler franchises as the market shifted, guided by the principles of customer service and integrity.

Today, led by Ed Napleton, the group operates 50 dealerships across seven states, representing domestic, import, and high-line brands. The company is based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, and employs more than 3,000 people. In 2025, two Napleton dealerships in West Palm Beach, Florida were acquired by Lithia Motors.
