The NASCAR Hall of Fame is a 150,000-square-foot interactive museum and entertainment venue in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, dedicated to recognizing the history and heritage of NASCAR. Since its opening on May 11, 2010, the facility is designed to educate and entertain both racing enthusiasts and casual visitors, offering artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a 278-seat theater, the Hall of Honor, a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, a NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop, and a NASCAR Media Group-operated broadcast studio. The surrounding five-acre site also includes a privately developed 19-story office tower and a 102,000-square-foot expansion to the Charlotte Convention Center, highlighted by a 40,000-square-foot ballroom. The venue is owned by the City of Charlotte, licensed by NASCAR, and operated by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, placing it within the city’s civic and tourism infrastructure. In 2024, the NASCAR Hall of Fame unveiled an art installation titled The King’s Hat, marking a notable recent development.
