The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit that represents more than 570 local and state workforce development boards and their member organizations. It coordinates and leverages workforce strategies with business and economic development partners to ensure that state and local job training aligns with employers’ needs, contributing to a broader aim of building a skilled national workforce. NAWB positions itself as the sole association advocating for workforce development boards, engaging policymakers to shape national strategy while providing advocacy, training, technical assistance, convenings, communications, and partnerships to its members. Its annual conference, The Forum, brings together professionals and leaders from business, government, labor, and education to discuss approaches to workforce challenges.
