The National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, D.C., founded in 1993 to advance the economic empowerment of African American communities through entrepreneurship and participation in the economy. It operates a nationwide network of about 140 affiliated chapters and includes members who are either businesses or individuals aligned with the national office. Its work centers on educating and training Black communities to participate in the U.S. economy through entrepreneurship and business development. One notable development in 2026 was Dream Exchange joining NBCC at the Annual National Business Policy Conference to advance capital market modernization.
