The National Center for Sustainable Transportation (NCST) is a consortium of leading universities committed to advancing an environmentally sustainable transportation system through cutting-edge research, direct policy engagement, and education of our future leaders. The NCST is one of five National University Transportation Centers established by U.S. Department of Transportation. The NCST’s research program targets high-priority transportation issues for government, industry, and community leaders. Research activities are concentrated in three domains critical to accelerating the equitable decarbonization of the transportation system: • Vehicle Technology • Infrastructure Provision • Travel Demand The NCST’s research program will put increased emphasis on the following critical policy-driven issues, which cross-cut our three research tracks: • Sustainable Freight • Rural Mobility • Vehicle Electrification The University of California, Davis leads the consortium in partnership with California State University, Long Beach; Georgia Institute of Technology; the University of California, Riverside; the University of Southern California; Texas Southern University; and the University of Vermont. The National Center for Sustainable Transportation invites you to be a part of the dialog, share your feedback, share your ideas, and join us as we move towards a more environmentally sustainable transportation sector and world.
