National Dance Institute (NDI) transforms the lives of children through the arts. Founded in 1976 by Jacques d’Amboise, and now celebrating our 50th anniversary year, NDI partners with public schools across New York City and trains dance teachers worldwide to provide joyful, inclusive dance and music education. Each year, more than 6,000 children experience the NDI Method, a proven approach to teaching dance that nurtures confidence, creativity, and excellence. Our programs reach children of all abilities and backgrounds, building skills that last long after the final bow: teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong love of the arts. Our teaching artist training enhances equips teachers from all different dance backgrounds with new strategies to motivate, engage, and inspire diverse learners.
