National Development of America is headquartered in Fort Myers under the direction of its principal, Rick Miller. The company began its operations in Bradenton in 1974 prior to moving to Fort Myers in 1984. Development activities are focused on multi-family (affordable and market rate) and single-family for rent products. NDA has also been involved in the development and asset management of housing since its inception in the mid 1970s.

The company has participated in a variety of debt and equity programs that are both privately and government funded. They have developed thousands of units throughout Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, South Carolina, and Louisiana. In addition to using a variety of governmental resources to finance these developments, they have established long-term relationships with a variety of construction and permanent lenders throughout the country to provide financing for their many developments.
