Servicing both bankruptcy attorneys and their clients, National Financial Literacy Foundation, Inc. (NFLF) is a non-profit organization approved by the U.S. Trustees Office (EOUST) to offer the required pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling certificate class.  Our bankruptcy courses help consumers comply with the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCPA), which mandates that people who wish to file bankruptcy must take a credit counseling course first before their bankruptcy lawyers can initiate the bankruptcy filing process. Classes can be taken online, by phone and in in-person classes, and are available in Spanish. What makes NFLF stand apart from other bankruptcy counseling providers is our commitment to low-cost class fees, fast delivery of bankruptcy certificates and an unmatched level of customer service for both the lawyer and the client.  

NFLF has received approval from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a local housing counseling agency. NFLF offers pre-purchase counseling, pre-purchase homebuyer education workshops, mortgage delinquency and default resolution counseling, resolving/preventing mortgage delinquency workshops, financial management/budget counseling, financial budgeting and credit repair workshops, and non-delinquncy post-purchase workshops for homeowners.
