National Housing Compliance (NHC) , is a 501c (4) corporation headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with a field office in Chicago, Illinois. NHC was specifically created by its member agencies to conduct performance-based contract administration for the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, as well as provide professional services to the affordable housing industry. As the performance-based contract administrator (PBCA), we must audit federally assisted properties to ensure that they are in compliance with their contract and all program requirements. NHC conducts this work for approximately 900 federally assisted properties throughout Georgia and Illinois. NHC is SOC2 and ISO compliant. In 2024 and 2025 we received our Great Place To Work certification.
