The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is congressionally chartered to represent all aspects of nuclear history and science. Its nine-acre outdoor exhibit area displays a B-29 Superfortress along with other aircraft, missiles, military vehicles, and a nuclear submarine sail, illustrating the link between nuclear science and national defense. In 2026, the museum added the Bell 412 HP Helicopter, associated with the Department of Energy’s Nuclear Emergency Support Team, expanding its aviation and history exhibitions.
