NC MedAssist is committed to helping low-income, uninsured North Carolina residents receive FREE life-saving prescription medication by operating a licensed pharmacy as well as providing Mobile Free Pharmacy events in counties all over the state, distributing approx. $100,000 in over-the-counter medications at each event. We partner with local community colleges, hospitals, social services, the health department and other local organizations to provide health care advocacy, educational services as well as health care checks at each event (i.e diabetic checks/education). 

Our overall goal is to improve the health of not only our Free Pharmacy patients, but all NC residents who attend our events, by enabling them to obtain life-saving prescription medications for chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, asthma as well as critical OTCs. 

NC MedAssist is the only organization of its type in NC. We are committed to serving those who continually fall through the cracks, but we could not do it without the continued support of our generous donors.
