New Community Corporation (NCC) is a nonprofit community development organization with more than 45 years in operation and based in Newark, New Jersey. It is described as the nation’s largest and most comprehensive entity in its field, delivering programs that touch more than 50,000 people each day. The NCC-Adult Learning Center focuses on adult literacy, operates at two Newark locations, and offers morning, evening, and weekend classes along with small-group or one-on-one instruction, supported by computer-based learning tools.

More than 35% of clients participate in at least three of the four offered semesters each fiscal year. In addition to standard coursework, the center provides free workshops, seminars, and health screenings through collaborations with private entities, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and volunteers, aligned with EFF standards to enrich the learning experience.
