NCW Libraries is a regional public library system serving over 250,000 residents across Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, and Okanogan counties in Washington. Established in 1960, the organization operates a network of 30 community libraries, two bookmobiles, and a Mail Order Library Service to provide access to more than 700,000 books and other materials within a 14,497 square-mile service area, the largest in the state by land area. The library system is governed by a regional board and is funded primarily through property taxes and contractual fees from municipalities that choose to participate, enabling broad public access to library resources. Its service model emphasizes accessibility and outreach across multiple counties, with recent activity highlighting a new Cashmere location and collaborative summer programming with Link Transit to encourage library exploration. NCW Libraries is based in Wenatchee, Washington, and operates within the libraries industry as a regional public library network.
