NEADS is a nonprofit based in Princeton, Massachusetts that trains and places service dogs to support people with disabilities. The dogs are trained to provide independence and companionship for individuals who are deaf or have physical disabilities, and for certain veterans with PTSD. The program also supports children with autism or developmental disabilities by promoting confidence and socialization, and it offers integrated therapeutic assistance in settings such as classrooms, hospitals, courthouses, mental health practices, and ministry. Operating as a mid-sized nonprofit, NEADS focuses on service dog programs that work with individuals and institutions. In 2025 the organization expanded its footprint by acquiring 18 acres in Princeton, New Jersey to establish the Prison PUP Program, which places dogs in training at correctional centers across the region.
