Nebraska Shakespeare is a nonprofit performing arts organization based in Omaha, Nebraska, that produces professional Shakespeare productions and related educational forums. Founded in 1986, it seeks to broaden cultural and educational life by making Shakespeare accessible beyond classrooms while remaining faithful to the text and intent. Its portfolio includes Shakespeare On The Green, an ongoing mainstage event; On Tour, which reaches more than 35 communities across Nebraska and Western Iowa; On The Silverscreen, a film series; Camp Shakespeare for ages 8 to 18; and Music Alive!, a collaboration with the Omaha Symphony. The organization partners with Creighton University, University of Nebraska at Omaha, the City of Omaha, benefactors, artists, staff, and hundreds of volunteers to reach about 50,000 individuals through performances and educational programs. In October 2021, Tyrone Beasley was appointed Artistic Director, reflecting a recent leadership development.
