NERCOMP, the Northeast Regional Computing Program, is a nonprofit consortium that supports higher education libraries and information technology professionals. Founded in 1956 and based in Glastonbury, Connecticut, the organization coordinates a regional network of member institutions and is governed by a Board of Trustees elected from those members. As an Association Partner of EDUCAUSE, it links roughly 300 colleges and universities to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. NERCOMP's mission is to cultivate inclusive communities of practice around information and technology, promote strategic partnerships and innovation, and advance leadership and learning in Northeastern U.S. higher education institutions. Its strategic plan focuses on a member-focused approach, delivering high-quality programs and services, and increasing engagement across its activities. In 2023, NERCOMP announced a collaboration with EDUCAUSE to convene higher education IT leaders at its annual conference.
