Nester Hosiery is a performance sock manufacturing company located in Mount Airy, NC.  The company’s primary focus is in manufacturing premium merino and synthetic constructions – ideal for outdoor, lifestyle and sporting goods categories. 

Our premium manufacturing center provides state-of-art global manufacturing capabilities to many leading outdoor performance brands.  We are also the proud manufacturers of our brand - Farm to Feet.  

Nester Hosiery is a leader in sock design and manufacturing.  Our superior product development resources are dedicated to making market leading designs using current fashion trends while also ensuring they meet our customers performance requirements. Besides world-class design and development, Nester Hosiery uses the latest advances in circular knitting with machinery ranging from 54 needle to 200 needle. In addition, our vertically integrated operations include multi-chamber steam boarding machinery, water-conserving steam tumbling system for post-knitting washing, and automated packaging equipment.  

Nester Hosiery also recognizes the importance of corporate responsibility and that the future of our business depends on taking care of the resources we have today.  As a local family-owned business with a global presence, we are committed to continually improving our efforts in the areas of environmental sustainability and social responsibility.  To accomplish this, we work with the following industry partners and experts on ways to reduce the environmental impact of our products. 

1. Since 2010, Nester Hosiery has been actively involved in the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) Sustainability Working Group efforts. 
2. Nester Hosiery supported early pilot testing of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition’s Higg Index and became the first domestic sock manufacturer to submit annual facility systems data in 2012.
3. Nester Hosiery became a Bluesign System Partner in 2016 and a certified manufacturer in 2017.
