The New Hampshire Historical Society is an independent nonprofit organization based in Concord, New Hampshire, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting materials related to the state's history. Founded in 1823 as a private statewide historical society, it operates as a non-governmental entity focused on educating diverse audiences about New Hampshire’s past and its relevance to present life. Its holdings support research and are used to develop exhibitions, publications, and school and public programs.

Its audiences include scholars, local historians, educators, librarians, genealogists, collectors, the media, tourists, and the general public who rely on the collections for learning and inquiry. The organization also provides online access to its library holdings and digital museum materials, expanding how people engage with New Hampshire history. A notable development in 2018 includes a partnership with the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society to complement its presentations.
