Serving as the professional family for more than 5,700 osteopathic physicians (D.O.’s) and osteopathic medical students, the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (NJAOPS) promotes public health, advocates for D.O.’s and encourages scientific research all while providing best in class education. NJAOPS is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association for AOA Category 1-A CME credits and by the Medical Society of New Jersey for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for continuing medical education.

Continually striving to advance the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine, NJAOPS stands for the following comprehensive principles:

OUR MISSION 

The New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons exists to unite osteopathic physicians; promote public health; give voice to the interests of the osteopathic profession; maintain high standards of ethics, practice and osteopathic education; and promote scientific research for the advancement of treatment methodologies, in concert with the goals of the American Osteopathic Association. NJAOPS works to promote first class quality education, continuously moving forward with experienced leadership and support through visionary advocacy.
