New Roads School is a fully accredited K–12 independent, college-preparatory educational community based in Santa Monica, California. Founded in 1995 as a model for education in a diverse community, it began as a middle school with 70 students and has since grown to serve more than 650 students representing the broad mix of communities in Los Angeles. The school provides financial assistance to about half of its families and has allocated roughly $70 million to financial aid over the past 18 years. It operates in the primary and secondary education sector as an independent school serving the Los Angeles area. In January 2022, it partnered with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District to support the Critical Conversations speaker series, a collaboration intended to expand schools' capacity to support each learner.
