New West Symphony is a professional orchestra founded in 1995 that draws players from the Los Angeles-area in order to perform high-caliber symphonic works. Based in Thousand Oaks, California, and serving the surrounding region, it presents six Masterpiece Series concerts each year and involves internationally acclaimed guest soloists as part of its programming. The ensemble maintains its status as the resident company of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and performs at the Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center in Camarillo, reflecting its regional footprint in the performing arts landscape. Beyondconcert performances, the symphony offers educational outreach and community programs, including youth-oriented Symphonic Adventures, a traveling Music Van, and the Laby Harmony Project for underserved students. These initiatives aim to provide access to music education and leadership development, complementing the orchestra’s artistic activities.
