The New York City Charter School Center is a nonprofit organization based in New York City that operates within education administration programs, focusing on public charter schools. Established in 2004, it supports new charter schools as they get started, assists existing campuses, builds community backing, and trains leaders to improve charter school performance. The center's mission centers on expanding access to high-quality public education for all New York students, irrespective of background. Among its initiatives, it maintains a citywide directory and, in July 2025, launched the NYC Charter School FINDER to help families compare and select charter schools across the city. It has also led advocacy efforts, including a comprehensive campaign launched in 2024 to highlight the successes and voices within the charter school community.
