The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is a New York City–based nonprofit founded in 1971 to support artists during pivotal moments in their creative lives. It provides a broad range of resources, combining physical spaces and online access to programs that include cash grants, a longstanding Fiscal Sponsorship track, and professional development through Learning programs. Each year, NYFA awards more than $4 million in cash grants to individual visual, performing, and literary artists across the United States. NYFA's Fiscal Sponsorship helps national artists and arts organizations raise and manage about $4 million annually, while its Learning initiatives—such as Artist as Entrepreneur and the Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program—deliver professional development to thousands of artists, creatives, and arts administrators. The organization’s website, NYFA.org, serves over a million users and provides more than 20,000 opportunities and resources across disciplines; in 2025, NYFA expanded its collaborations through a partnership with Bipainc.
