New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) is a nonprofit organization based in Long Island City, New York, focused on developing character through tennis and education for lifelong success. Founded in 1971, it operates what it describes as the largest youth tennis and education program in the United States, serving about 85,000 K-12 New York City students and providing three million hours of year-round programming across all five boroughs at no cost to participants. Its Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning, opened in 2015, serves as the flagship facility offering free year-round instruction for youth ages 5-18 and space for educators to support school performance. In 2022, NYJTL launched the Scholar Athlete Program, delivering in-depth tennis instruction alongside educational enrichment and college preparedness for students in grades 3-12.
