New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) is a not-for-profit national sports organisation charged with growing, developing and delivering rugby league across New Zealand. Based in Auckland, it oversees the senior national teams—the Kiwis and the Kiwi Ferns—and a suite of elite youth and school programs, including NZ 16s, NZ 18s, Taurahere, and National Secondary Schools. The organisation runs key annual competitions, such as the National Secondary Schools tournament and top-tier events like the National Premiership and National Championship.

NZRL extends its impact beyond competition by operating playgroups for children aged 0-5 and partnering with government agencies and local groups to deliver social programmes, education and training across the sport. The Kiwi Way underpins its work, emphasizing diversity, innovation, inclusivity, responsibility and family first. In May 2026, Andrea Nelson MNZM was appointed chief executive, marking a notable leadership development for the organisation.
