Newark Community Health Centers, Inc. (NCHC) is committed to providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to the communities we serve. As one of the largest providers of comprehensive primary care services for uninsured and medically underserved populations in one of the nation’s most densely populated regions, our mission is to eliminate health disparities and empower individuals to live stronger, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.

Founded on October 2, 1986, NCHC was established in response to the growing health inequities affecting underserved communities in the City of Newark. As the population in Newark and its surrounding cities increased, so did the demand for accessible, quality healthcare. To meet this need, we expanded both our services and locations. Today, NCHC operates seven health centers across Newark, East Orange, Irvington, and Orange, offering a comprehensive range of medical and dental services for children, adults, and seniors.
