Employer Network Opportunities NSCG works with around 850 employer partners and runs extensive apprenticeship programs across academic, vocational, and apprenticeship qualifications. This dense employer network creates demand for tailored employer-led training, work-based learning platforms, and co-developed curricula; ideal for offering apprenticeship program management, training content, and on-site skills delivery solutions.
Digital Transformation Potential The college already uses AWS, Mautic, Cart Functionality, and other digital tools, signaling readiness for cloud, marketing automation, and LMS integrations. Opportunities to offer cloud hosting, cybersecurity hardening, data analytics, CRM/MAM implementations, and unified student information systems, plus e-commerce workflows for admissions and materials.
Manufacturing Tech Momentum NSCG has been recognized as a national Advanced Manufacturing TEC and is expanding Institute of Technology provision with industry partnerships. This presents a market for equipment provisioning, simulation software, lab modernization, robotics and automation training, and curricula aligned with manufacturing sector funding.
Leadership Transition A leadership transition at NSCG (chief executive retirement; deputy principal stepping up) often coincides with procurement reviews and strategic partnerships. This creates an opening to present modernization, digital, and workforce development proposals aligned with new leadership priorities and funding opportunities.
Regional Collaboration Recent collaborations with Visit Staffordshire and the Mayor’s Charity Fund show a strong regional appetite for community-facing projects and workforce upskilling. There are opportunities to deliver funded short courses, apprenticeships, or sponsored community training, and to broaden the college’s employer network across the region.
