Founded in 1988 by David Jenkins to develop and produce category creating protein products, Carlsbad, CA. based NEXT Proteins, has been responsible for –

In April 2011, Designer Whey® protein assets were acquired by Designer Protein, LLC, a private equity entity composed of Stockton Road Capital, Garmark Partners and Northwood Ventures.

Today, as a result of over 15 years of in-house research and development, NEXT Proteins is the owner of 6 U.S. patents and international patents in 38 countries that cover teachings and claims for an extremely broad spectrum of sparkling protein products. These are the only clear, refreshing, sparkling protein drink patents in the world.
