Nexus Energy Center is building smart energy communities throughout the state of Alabama. We do this by administering energy programs for education, conservation, efficiency and renewable generation. Nexus’ programs stimulate and promote local Alabama businesses by creating opportunities to bring energy market transformation. Nexus has gained tremendous experience in the energy efficiency arena through our highly successful AlabamaWISE (Worthwhile Investments Save Energy), an energy efficiency program focused on homeowners in Alabama.  AlabamaWISE is a win-win-win situation for energy efficiency professionals, homeowners, and the community at large.
•	The energy efficiency professionals win by gaining a customer and keeping his employees working. 
•	The customer wins by being more energy efficient and realizing a monthly energy savings on in addition to the rebates received. 
•	Our communities win because customers and contractor are putting these dollars back into the economy and experiencing job growth. 
Now, over 1500 homeowners have experienced a more comfortable and energy efficient home. The have also eased the burden on their wallet and on the grid.

Nexus Energy Center also administers the Comfort Project, which helps elderly, underserved, and disabled homeowners permanently lower utility costs through the installation of energy efficient upgrades. These home upgrades not only lower utility costs, but also improve health and quality of life for the resident and their families.
