Our Credit Union offers financial products exclusively for the Police Family. We are an ethical co-operative, offering savings, loans and mortgages and we share our profits back with our members each year. This is in the form of an annual dividend. 

A credit union has three main aims – all of which add to their growing popularity. These are to encourage savings, provide affordable loans and to give members financial assistance when they need us. A credit union is for people, not for profit.

No1 CopperPot Credit Union was started by a group of Officers from Greater Manchester Police, and all of our members share a common bond, by either working for, or being related to, the Police family. When you save or borrow with your credit union, you know your money is being used to benefit your colleagues and family members, and not outside shareholders. The profits that we make each year are used to improve our service, and also reward our members. 

To ensure the safe and secure running of our credit union, and also our success; we are overseen by a Board of Directors. The responsibilities of the Directors are to ensure that everything that the credit union does, is in the member’s best interest.
