Nodaway County Economic Development (NCED) is a not-for-profit organization that serves Maryville, Missouri and Nodaway County, Missouri.   The core mission of the organization is Existing Business Service, Business Recruitment and Community Development.  NCED works closely with the City of Maryville, Nodaway County Commission, Northwest Missouri State University and our industry partners to promote the community as a great place to grow a business!  Targeted markets for recruitment are renewable energy support technologies and green companies that have completed research and are looking for a home to commercialize.  

NCED is governed by a nine member board representing industry, finance, education, city, county, utility, Maryville Industrial Development Corporation, the Chamber, and a director at large.  There are two staff members.  Administration of $2.5M - annual budget approximately $150K
