Since opening in Buffalo 16 years ago, Norstar has developed 2,399 units for 16 public housing authority clients, and its national holdings include ownership of over 3,500 units across New York, Texas, Florida, and Michigan. It has redeveloped more than 3,400 units for nonprofit clients, public housing authorities, and its own accounts. In 2020, Norstar partnered with the Western New York Veterans Housing Coalition to construct affordable apartments in the former School 75 on Howard Street in Buffalo and to build 18 new rental homes nearby.
