The company was founded in 1983 by Koito Manufacturing Co., and Koito acquired 100 percent ownership by 2001. With nine facilities in North America and a global Koito network, NAL applies kaizen management principles and collaborates with vehicle manufacturers from concept to product launch; the company also provides health, life, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability benefits to employees.
