NCCEH upholds human dignity by pursuing justice and engaging in innovative partnerships to end homelessness in North Carolina. We operationalize this mission by creating alliances, encouraging public dialogue, securing resources, and advocating for systemic change.

We are currently working to end homelessness by:
- Advocating for policy and funding solutions at the local, state, and federal levels. 
- Building provider capacity through training, education, and technical assistance based on data and evidence-based best practices.
- Acting as the lead agency for the NC Balance of State Continuum of Care, serving North Carolina's 79 rural counties.
- Providing and analyzing research and data from the NC Homeless Management Information System.
- Assisting caseworkers across the state in obtaining income and health insurance for their clients through our NC SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) Initiative.
- Cultivating leaders, champions, and advocates to bring about systems change that prevents homelessness and improves the current homeless services system.
