The North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) serves as the state-designated Local Behavioral Health Authority for Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall counties in Texas. It functions as a safety-net within the regional behavioral health system, coordinating mental health and substance-use services for individuals eligible for Medicaid or other public funds, and overseeing crisis services across the six counties. NTBHA contracts with a network of providers to ensure individuals have choice in their treatment options. It has earned Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic certification through a partnership with Child and Family Guidance Center, Homeward Bound, and Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare, supporting an integrated and accessible service model focused on recovery. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, NTBHA established a dedicated mental health support line to provide trauma-informed support.
