Northern Vermont University was a public university serving the northern region of Vermont, with campuses in Johnson and Lyndonville. It began in 2018 through the merger of Johnson State College and Lyndon State College. The Lyndonville campus is located at 1001 College Rd, Lyndonville, VT 05851. On July 1, 2023, NVU's two locations became campuses of the newly formed Vermont State University. This change integrated NVU into a broader state university system. The arrangement places its campuses within Vermont State University, continuing to serve students pursuing higher education in the region as part of the larger university network.
