NVBIA is the association for homebuilding & remodeling community in Northern Virginia. NVBIA has 4 goals: 1. To advocate for the building industry at the local, state and national levels. 2. To educate our members through certified and non certified classes and seminars. 3. To create networking opportunities to grow and foster business relationships. 4. To support our community. We have been achieving these 4 goals since 1936. As a member of NVBIA, you are also a member of the Home Building Association of Virginia & the National Association of Home Builders. Through the support of our membership we are able to advocate at all 3 levels to keep new home development affordable to new home buyers. NVBIA hosts seminars and classes for all aspects related to home building. Some topics include: green building, social media, market trends, financing, sales & marketing, just to name a few. Our networking functions are "Must Attend" affairs. Meet the Builder creates opportunities to meet purchasing decision makers from home building organizations. The Crab Feast, Crawfish Boil, & Oyster Roast are legendary events allowing our associate and builder members the opportunity to network in fun relaxed settings. Being active in our committees, councils, and chapters creates networking opportunities between builders and associates while working together to strengthen our industry. Some of our committees and councils include Membership, Sales & Marketing, Women in Building, Future Leaders, Associates, Legislative, Custom Builders. Our Chapters are Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William. All of these groups effort to protect and advance the homebuilding industry in Northern Virginia. Lastly, we give back to the community through financial and physical support of HomeAid National Capital Region. HomeAid renovates and builds shelters & transitional housing for homeless families.
