Northwest Recovery Centers is firm in its belief that Chemical Dependency is a primary, chronic disease with genetic, psychosocial and environmental factors influencing its development and manifestations. The disease is often progressive and fatal. Additionally, it is often characterized by impaired control over drinking or drug use, preoccupation with alcohol and or other drug use, continued use, despite adverse consequences, and distortions in thinking, most notably denial.

Northwest Recovery Centers' philosophy on the Treatment of Chemical Dependency is grounded in the belief that, in order to be in recovery, an individual has to move from denial to acceptance, with acceptance into action and prevention. And that, as individuals, they need to have initial and ongoing assessment to develop and treat bio/psycho/social problems that are barriers to, or increase the results of total long-term abstinence.

With this philosophy, all patients of Northwest Recovery Centers LLC will address, in their treatment:

    Their acceptance of having a disease
    Their development of a recovery plan, including relapse prevention
    Development of community based clean and sober support.
