Packaging and Containers ManufacturingEngland, United Kingdom51-200 Employees

Notpla, based in London, England, operates as a sustainable packaging start-up in the packaging and containers manufacturing sector. Its products, including Ooho, use a seaweed- and plant-based material that biodegrades in weeks, and the company has developed its own equipment and processes to enable sustainable packaging.

Notpla targets customers in food service and consumer goods seeking plastic-free packaging, addressing plastic pollution at the source. Recent collaborations include partnerships with Saltwater to develop seaweed-based, plastic-free sushi packaging and with Kwalitaria to introduce seaweed-based packaging to large quick-service restaurants. Notpla was recognized with the Earthshot Prize in 2022.
