The consortium is dedicated to delivering the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) light rail project for the Greater Montreal region, drawing on the combined expertise of its member firms to manage large-scale infrastructure work and to collaborate with local partners. 

The REM is an electric, fully automated light rail network that spans 67 kilometers with 25 stations, linking the South Shore, North Shore, West Island, downtown Montreal, and Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Airport. It is designed to connect with existing transit systems to expand mobility and ease daily commutes, representing the largest transit project in Quebec in several decades. In 2021, NouvLR began a collaboration with ABB Installation Products to develop an expansion joint system solution.
