Novian Health is a late-stage development medical device company based in Chicago, with a subsidiary, Novian Health SAS, in France. Novian Health has developed Novilase, a minimally invasive alternative to lumpectomy for the treatment of breast tumors using Interstitial Laser Therapy (ILT). Novian Health has received a CE Mark for focal destruction of malignant and benign breast tumors, the first thermal ablation device to be approved for breast cancer.

Novian Health’s technology enables breast surgeons and radiologists to ablate tumors with image-guided laser therapy. Novilase offers significant advantages over surgery including fewer retreatments, quicker recovery, less pain and fatigue, minimal scarring, and only requires local anesthesia.

Novian is conducting a multicenter pivotal trial to evaluate Novilase® laser therapy as a treatment for early-stage breast cancer.  U.S. market clearance for the focal destruction of malignant tumors will be sought.  Novian is commercializing in Europe.

Novian Health has received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for the treatment of fibroadenomas, or benign breast tumors, and ablation of soft tissue.
