NYU Grossman School of Medicine is redefining how physicians are trained—and what a medical school can be.

In 2013, we pioneered the nation’s first three-year MD pathway, allowing students to graduate a year earlier and move directly into residency training. Then in 2018, we became the first major U.S. medical school to offer full-tuition scholarships to all MD students, ensuring that talented future physicians can pursue medicine without the burden of educational debt.

Today, all our students can complete their MD in three years and pursue residency anywhere in the country. Many also choose a fourth year to expand their training through dual-degree programs or a dedicated research year.

Our students train across NYU Langone Health’s network of more than 320 clinical locations, learning alongside physicians who deliver the highest-quality care in the nation.
