O-I-See Youth Strategies was created in 2011 to help children succeed in a safe and confidential setting. Our services are only offered one-to-one, to help individual youth discover his or her strengths, while accepting challenges that are getting in the way of success. This discovery leads to a “doing” that can be as simple as creating a “coping box” to visiting a local park or library to strengthen social boundaries and skills.
O-I-See’s team believes in taking the time, and patience, to understand how a child’s journey has affected his or her mental health verses something being “wrong”- needing to be fixed. We are not licensed therapists, however, we are “mentors” who allow space and time to practice the skills needed for growth. Some of the many activities we have explored with kids: visiting parks, visiting libraries, shopping, creating “coping boxes”, sensory exploring, mindfulness, art exploration, board game playing/exploration, video gaming, music exploration, fishing, going out to eat, volunteering, and the list continues with over 10 years of experience.
Our team is trained to view every situation as a success- even in the toughest situations that are hard on the emotional heart.
