At Olivieri Brothers, we sit on the same side of the table as our clients, so we can see things from their perspective. By functioning as a team, as partners, we can do more than just respond to our clients needs. We can anticipate them and take care of potential obstacles before they arise. All projects have a start and end. Architects can help at every stage in between. The time where the idea of the project is developed and documented is what we call the “Design Process”. Typically, an owner will bring to the table their ideas for what they’d like to accomplish with the project. An architect will begin to document those ideas diagrammatically through sketches or preliminary drawings, and then build in more details as the project evolves. Clear communication is critical during design services in order to meet expectations and determine the direction of the project. In addition to communication, Architects will use drawings, renderings, and other means to convey the project in a way that makes sense to you. Your feedback is the most important part of the design process. It is through your comments that the project becomes your own. An architect can make many assumptions to develop a project based on past experience, but it is the owner’s knowledge of what they do best that has the final say on if something will work or not.
