The Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) is a local government body charged with regulatory and enforcement authority over air quality in Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties in Washington. Established in 1968 after passage of the Clean Air Washington Act, ORCAA is one of seven regional air pollution control agencies in the state and enforces federal, state, and local air pollution standards and governs emissions from new and existing sources.

A nine-member Board of Directors governs ORCAA, with representatives from each of the six counties and from the three largest cities—Lacey, Olympia, and Port Angeles. Board meetings are open to the public and held at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the agency’s Olympia office. Based in Olympia, ORCAA operates within the environmental services sector to regulate air quality for its jurisdiction and oversee emissions from public and private sector sources, under the direction of an Executive Director who administers staff and enforces the agency’s orders and regulations.
