WHO: Omaha Conservatory of Music (OCoM) is a 501 (3) C organization which has grown out of a grassroots need to provide music education to area youth and adults.

WHAT: Since 2001, OCoM’s mission to create a musical community through education and performance has developed to embody our core values: PASSION + DEDICATION=EXCELLENCE. We have grown to over 800 students, over 35 artist-faculty, teaching strings, voice, piano, guitar, brass, percussion and woodwinds to a variety of populations. Our faculty are educators of the highest quality who are also actively involved in the performing arts community in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area.

The Conservatory currently provides individual lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, guitar, voice, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone, as well as conducting, music composition, and theory.

Our outstanding artist-faculty challenges and inspires a student body of over 800 conservatory musicians and touches the lives of countless others through special programs. 

In addition to individual lessons, our musical community offers a rich variety of classes, interaction with guest artists, ensemble experiences, educational workshops, solo and group performances, and other unique opportunities in collaboration with arts organizations throughout the city.
