One Tent Health is a youth-driven nonprofit that partners with community hubs like local grocery stores and laundromats in Washington, DC's highest-risk neighborhoods to offer life-saving services that people need, free of charge. We pop up with a canvas tent, passionate student volunteers, and provide free HIV screening, COVID testing (during the pandemic), rapid PrEP initiation, and voter registration. It's simple: We bring what people need, directly to where they are. And it's working.

We've screened thousands of people for HIV, found new cases more than four times as often as the average DC program (per researchers at Harvard Medical School), tested over 12,000 people in SE and NE Washington, DC for COVID-19 starting in 2020, presented at the CDC, offered all of the testing at the US Conference on HIV/AIDS, and continue to improve to help people we care about.
