Ontario Place is a government agency operating a 96-acre waterfront park in downtown Toronto, offering space for recreation and entertainment. Located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, it serves families and visitors seeking cultural programming and outdoor experiences on the lakefront. The government announced a major revitalization in 2012, including partial closure during redevelopment, with plans to host events such as the Pan/Parapan Am Games and to be ready for Canada's 150th anniversary. The organization has a history of partnering with cultural and event organizers to expand programming, including collaborations with Cirque du Soleil in 2019 and various festivals and exhibitions. Initiatives like the Winter Light Exhibition, launched in 2017, illustrate ongoing programming that combines seasonal events with the park's waterfront setting. Ontario Place positions itself within the entertainment providers industry as a venue and platform for performances, film, and community programming under the Government of Ontario.
